VERITAS Storage Foundation 5.1へUpdate [VERITAS]
最近、Sambaのプロセスが、I/O blockされて、異常繁殖した結果、サービス不能になる事が多いので、どうもその元となってそうなVERITAS Storage Foundationをupdateすることにしました。
元のファイルは
VRTS_SF_HA_Solutions_5.1_RHEL.tar.gz
です。
Symantecさんで登録してあればdownload出来るのは、以前と同じです。

みてみろと。
みたら、Patch 1の情報が書いてあります。
の前に、Disk Layout Versionの古いのはサポートしないと書いてあります。
調べ方は

に書いてありますが
あ、rootdgとvolnameは、利用環境に合わせて入力します。
少なくとも5.0から使い始めたのであれば、Version 7のはずなので、なんら問題ありません。
ということで、まずはコマンド使ってチェックしてみましょう。
インストールしても、何も変わりません。
パッチを当てようとして、何も変わってないことに気がつくだけです。
はい。
でもって、もう一回、オプション無しでインストーラーを起動する前に、vxvm管轄下のエリアにアクセスしているプロセスを全て落とし、unmountします。
その上で、インストーラーを起動します。
念のために、もう一度起動して、バージョンをチェック！
続いて、パッチ当て。
読んだことにして、先に進みます(^^;
元のファイルは
VRTS_SF_HA_Solutions_5.1_RHEL.tar.gz
です。

思った通り、何も問題なしなので、このまま進みたいところですが、デフォルト通り、インストールせずに、終了させましょう。インストールしても、何も変わりません。
